Circle of Parents
Through this mutual self-help and parent-led support group, parents realize their similarities are far greater than their differences and ultimately unite them in ways unimaginable. This framework was designed with the intention to develop and strengthen family support and prevent child abuse and neglect.
Círculo de Padres
A través de este grupo de autoayuda mutua y apoyo dirigido por los padres, ellos se dan cuenta de que sus similaridades son mucho mayores que sus diferencias y, en última instancia, les unen de formas inimaginables. Este marco se diseñó con la intención de desarrollar y reforzar el apoyo familiar y prevenir el maltrato y el abandono infantil.

WHILE STRENGTHENING FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES
Circle of Parents (COP) is unique in that there is a group for children as well! This group is separate from the parents group so that participants can learn in a setting they are more likely to focus with the peers and share openly. Groups are free, anonymous, confidential, non-judgmental and promote positive, non-abusive parenting.
Parents and children can expect to experience the following while being a part of COP:

Social Connections: Parents/caregivers find it easier to care for their children when they have a social network of emotionally supportive friends and family.

Resilience: Coping with life’s everyday stresses help build parenting resilience; which increases their inner strength and ability to bounce back when times get tough.

Knowledge of Parenting & Child Development: When parents provide respectful communication and listening with safe opportunities that promote independence although with affections, children thrive!

Concrete Support: Families who know how to access essential services and who can meet their own basic needs are better equipped to ensure the safety and well-being of their children.

Social and Emotional Competence: The ways in which children are nurtured during early experiences with caring adults affects all aspects of their behavior and development.

JUNTOS PODEMOS TRABAJAR PARA PREVENIR EL MALTRATO Y LA NEGLIGENCIA INFANTIL AL MISMO TIEMPO QUE FORTALECEMOS A LAS FAMILIAS Y LAS COMUNIDADES
El programa Círculo de Padres (COP) es único en el sentido de que también hay un grupo para niños. Este grupo está separado del grupo de padres para que los participantes puedan aprender en un entorno en el que es más probable que se concentren con sus compañeros y compartan abiertamente. Los grupos son gratuitos, anónimos, confidenciales, sin prejuicios y promuevan una paternidad positiva y no abusiva.
Los padres y los niños pueden esperar experimentar lo siguiente mientras forman parte de COP:

Conexiones Sociales: A los padres y cuidadores les resulta más fácil cuidar a sus hijos cuando tienen una red social de amigos y familiares que los apoyan emocionalmente.

Resiliencia: Hacer frente al estrés cotidiano ayuda a desarrollar la resiliencia de los padres; lo que aumenta su fuerza interior y su capacidad para recuperarse cuando los tiempos se ponen difíciles.

Conocimiento de la Crianza y el Desarrollo Infantil: Cuando los padres brindan comunicación respetuosa y escucha con oportunidades seguras que promueven la independencia, aunque con afecto, ¡los niños prosperan!

Apoyo Concreto: Las familias que saben cómo acceder a los servicios esenciales y que pueden satisfacer sus propias necesidades básicas están mejor equipadas para garantizar la seguridad y el bienestar de sus hijos.

Competencia Social y Emocional: La forma en que se nutre a los niños durante las primeras experiencias con adultos que los cuidan afecta todos los aspectos de su comportamiento y desarrollo.
